As part of the hydrogen researcher festival at Loughborough university on 4th July we would like to invite all researchers (doctoral and postdocs) to enter our poster competition.
The theme for the competition is Hydrogen and the hydrogen economy. We would like to see posters which explore various aspects of hydrogen research, innovation, and applications, and which specifically address the following points:
- Demonstrates how research can contribute to and accelerate a hydrogen economy within the UK
- Explores how research can overcome the obstacles and challenges of adopting hydrogen as a low-carbon source of energy
The posters submitted will be displayed in a virtual exhibition in advance of the festival, and we will have an online vote to shortlist posters to be displayed and presented at the festival in July. A judging panel will review and score the shortlisted posters to decide the winning poster.

How to enter
Judging Criteria for Poster Presentations
The following criteria will be used by the judging panel when reviewing the shortlisted posters.
- Overall appearance: The poster is legible and not cluttered with text; any visuals used are effective.
- Organization & flow: The components of the poster are organized in a logical flow.
- Clarity of content: Sufficient background information is provided and the research being communicated is easy to understand.
- Quality of poster presentation: The presenter explained the poster clearly, demonstrated content knowledge and was able to answer questions.
